HATE new layout/update

What was wrong with the previous layout? Now I have to swipe (HATE swiping as if finding a book is like a dating app) through the books instead of seeing a thumbnail view, only have 3 categories presented (instead of more as before) and my account that I have had for over a year (and currently have 4 books on loan) is not recognized. Gone are the easily recognized icons denoting ones account page located at the top of the page (thus giving easy access to ones account). PLEASE bring back the previous layout!!! If something already works then do not change it with downgrades and call it "new and improved". Might end up deleting this app and go to a different online library system/app. Im only giving this app one star as borrowing the books are free but with the sparse display, boring layout and inaccessibility of account, I have to give it what it currently offers--the bare minimum.
